BLACK DOTS AND SEBACEOUS FILAMENTS, WHAT DIFFERENCE?

Posted by

TODAY I AM GOING TO TELL YOU ABOUT SOMETHING VERY WELL KNOWN, THE BLACK BEAST THAT HIDES IN YOUR PORE, THE ONE THAT IS PARTICULARLY FEARED (YES, I DO IN THE DRAMA TODAY). I NAMED: THE BLACK DOT!
YES, BUT THERE IS NOT ONLY THE BLACK POINT IN LIFE, NO, THERE IS ALSO HIS COUSIN, THE SEBACEOUS FILAMENT. THEY LOOK VERY MUCH ALIKE AND THEY ARE OFTEN CONFUSED, BUT NO, THEY ARE VERY DISTINCT THINGS!

BLACK DOTS AND SEBACEOUS FILAMENTS WHAT DIFFERENCE

1.  LITTLE REMINDER

There are two types of “pore problem”:  blackheads and sebaceous filaments.

The skin is, as you know, made up of pores.  Of these pores and particularly on the zone T, sebum flows continuously (hence the fatty zone T of the mixed skins).

2.  WHAT IS A SEBACEOUS FILAMENT?

It is a pore from which flows sebum which, in contact with the air, oxidizes and creates a small gray ‘point’.

It is recognized because it is darker than a black spot and almost all people have it on the nose, where the skin is the thickest and the pores bigger because of the production of sebum.

When you press a soft sebum filament comes out easily.

When you make a purifying mask / cleanser, they disappear …  To return in the half day that follows because the sebum has again oxidized.

In general there is not a filament sebaceous; there is FULL, one per pore exactly.

The more the sebum flows, the more the pore is dilated, the more the sebaceous filament is seen. The sebaceous filament is therefore linked to the production of sebum, the only way to reduce its visibility tighten pores and normalize the skin, the  patch  anti  blackheads, cleansing lotions, masks will not change much, It is the very nature of the skin, it is something normal.

How to get rid of sebaceous filaments

They cannot be removed permanently, just diminished by decreased pores and daily care / cleaning.  Regularity is the key word!  : )

Under no circumstances should we try to extract them as for blackheads!  The more you try, the more you excite the sebaceous glands the more the sebum flows and therefore the more oily area.  Hello the damage!

The sebaceous filaments are seen less with tanning (like scars and imperfections in general), suddenly with the arrival of winter and the resulting bidet complexion , do not shout “my god, my skin is Full of blackheads! “.

It’s just that your tan goes away and that suddenly, the SF are more visible.

3.  SO WHAT IS A BLACK DOT?

A black dot is a bit the evolution of a sebaceous filament.

The pore is obstructed for some reason (dead skin, foundation, pollution …), the sebum can no longer flow, it begins to dilate the pore, hardened as and when and Reaches the open air, it forms a very black point, different from the gray of the soft sebum of the filaments.  It is a hard arrow when trying to get it out, it’s quite difficult depending on the level of inlay.  It is clear that the sebum is very hard once released (for the bigger ones).

Causes of blackheads : Alcohol in cosmetics, silicone, the accumulation of dead skin, bad make-up removal, unsuitable products, fat …

It takes the extract, unlike sebaceous filaments, because if you leave a black spot swell, it will expand your pore TOLIFE and I know what I mean …  Do not expect it to be big to knock.

Finally, finally, a black spot is usually isolated, when there are, they are not as grouped as the sebaceous filaments (except for the smallest ones, on the chin for example). The small blackheads of the chin are usually soft.

Generally, the filaments are on the top and top of the wings of the nose while the black spot is rather near the nostril, at the base of the nose.  It is also found on the chin unlike the sebaceous filaments that are present only on the nose.

4.  CONCLUSION

Be careful before you start extracting blackheads, do not do anything at the risk of encysted and create an infection.  And avoid as far as possible the extraction of the filaments. At the limit if it is compulsive, do a steam bath before to not traumatize the area too much.
